Ross Porter – Managing Director

Ross Porter is an ambitious 36 year old and has in excess of 12 years experience in and a wealth of knowledge of the recruitment industry, having held various management positions in the industry prior to setting up Draig Personnel in 1999.

Ross moved to South Wales in 1991 where he studied Business and Finance at what is now known as the University of Newport in Gwent.

His role within the business revolves around developing new clients and assisting them to identify the most efficient and relevant recruitment package options in order for them to gain the maximum added value from using the services of Draig Personnel. He has even been known to actually have a stint on a production line of an industrial client in order to gain an in-depth understanding of the clients needs and job details! Despite being involved in the development of new clients for the business, Ross is also fully committed to ensuring that all existing clients are given our on-going intensive care programme.

Ross also heads up the Executive Search and Selection division of the business.

He is a Welsh speaker (although a little rusty by his own admissions), is married, lives in the Gwent area and his interests include football, boxing, mountain biking and motorsport.

Claire Porter – Director / Company Secretary

Claire Porter is 30 years old and has played a major role in the running of the business since it was founded in 1999. She was training to be a primary school teacher prior to finding herself in the recruitment industry almost by accident! Some of the skills learnt in the primary school teachers training have proved to be transferable at times though!

Claire has a strong academic background and is fluent in Welsh, Spanish and French and she hails from the South Wales valleys. Claire is now responsible for managing the finance matters of the business, although her experience of working in every capacity within the business since 1999 has provided her with the benefit of possessing an extensive knowledge of the recruitment process and sector.

She is married (to Ross) and lives in Gwent and interests include languages, reading, keep fit and shopping!

Martin Dwyer - Director

Martin Dwyer is 34 years old, has progressed to the role Director within Draig Personnel since he joined the business in 2005. He is a graduate of the University of Liverpool with a BA Hons. Degree and then went on to further his knowledge by achieving an MBA in the University of Wales Institute Cardiff (UWIC).

Martin’s career, prior to being in the recruitment industry, has involved management roles within the contact centre and finance sectors of industry, where he gained valuable experience on the other side of the desk. His management roles prior to joining Draig Personnel involved him being responsible for liaising and negotiating with various recruitment agencies, managing recruitment campaigns, managing attrition levels and numerous other responsibilities associated with the roles. So he is fully aware of the importance of not only selecting the right recruitment company to work with, but also, how to effectively maximise their involvement in any recruitment campaign.

His experience in management roles in these sectors prior to joining Draig Personnel has proved advantageous to many of our clients. Martin's role within Draig Personnel is primarily to ensure that all existing clients continue to receive the highest service levels possible and he is also heavily involved in managing the day to day contract requirements of all clients of the business.

He is a native of Cardiff, is married and his interests include football, skiing and travelling.
